Uses commodity Wi-Fi signals for presence, movement and vital-sign sensing.

Experimental presence detection for smart buildings or elder care.

Needs specific hardware. Sensing people has privacy-law implications.

MIT (LICENSE file read; copyright 2024 rUv)

Yes under MIT for the software; a deployment that senses people's presence, breathing and heart rate through walls raises privacy/surveillance law questions the licence does not cover.

Not archived; last push 2026-10-07. Needs hardware: ESP32-S3/C6 boards or a CSI-capable research NIC; the Docker image runs on simulated data only; a plain laptop gives RSSI-only coarse presence. Buyer beware - the README itself says the on-device 17-keypoint pose model is 'first-cut' (PCK@20 = 3.0% against a 35% target, runtime path still a 'confidence=0' stub) and that an older '100% presence' figure 'has been retracted'. Optional world-model feature quotes 3.4 GB VRAM on an RTX 5080; core sensing needs no GPU. cognitum.one/RuView returns HTTP 200 but only the title was readable.

The maintainer's company Cognitum sells hardware: README prices the Cognitum Seed kit at about $140 total (ESP32-S3 nodes about $9 each; 3-6 node mesh about $54). Prices on cognitum.one itself: not found (page body did not render). There is also a module store (seed.cognitum.one/store, not opened) and an affiliate programme.
