How this site handles your data.

Overview
This website (didyk.dev) is the personal portfolio of Vladyslav Didyk. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and what choices you have.
The short version: nothing is tracked until you accept the cookie banner, and the only personal data I ever receive directly is what you type into a form on this site or send me in a messaging app.
Analytics we use
With your permission, three analytics tools help me understand how visitors use the site — which projects get read, where visitors come from, and where something breaks. None of them load before you press “Accept” on the cookie banner: nothing runs, no cookies are set, and no data leaves your browser.
Google Analytics 4
Counts visits and shows me which pages people read, which links they click, roughly where visitors come from (country or city), and what kind of device they use. Google processes this data for me.
Microsoft Clarity
Records anonymous replays of how visitors scroll and click, so I can find the confusing parts of the site. Anything you type is hidden before it is stored.
PostHog
Counts page views and interactions — for example, which project cards get opened. Stores an anonymous ID in your browser.
Cookies & local storage
Everything the site stores in your browser, and when:
theme
Remembers your dark/light mode choice. Functional (localStorage), set immediately, involves no tracking.
locale
Remembers the language you chose. Functional (localStorage and a cookie of the same name), set when you open a page in a language or pick one, involves no tracking.
cookie-consent
Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. Functional (localStorage), set only when you make a choice.
_ga, _ga_*
Google Analytics identifiers. Set only after you accept.
_clck, _clsk
Microsoft Clarity identifiers. Set only after you accept.
ph_*
PostHog identifier (localStorage + cookie). Set only after you accept.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you enter are sent to my inbox through EmailJS, an email delivery service. I use them only to reply to you — they are never sold, shared for marketing, or added to any mailing list.
EmailJS
Processes the form submission to deliver it as an email.
AI request form
The request form on the AI for Small Business page asks for your name, an email address or phone number, what you want help with, and a few sentences about your business. After you send it, it offers a few optional questions. Your answers reach my inbox through EmailJS, the same service the contact form uses. I use them only to reply to you and to prepare for our call — they are never sold, shared for marketing, or added to any mailing list.
WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger links
Some buttons — on the AI pages, the contact section, and the Lead Follow-Up Autopilot page — open a chat with me in WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook Messenger. A WhatsApp button may open the chat with a first message already typed. Nothing is sent until you press send in that app. If you do, I receive what the app shows me — your message, your name there, and for WhatsApp your phone number — and the app handles it under its own privacy policy.

Your choices & withdrawing consent
If you decline the banner, no analytics ever load. If you accepted and change your mind, click “Cookie preferences” in the footer — tracking stops right away, your earlier choice is cleared, and the site asks again.
You can also delete cookies and site data for didyk.dev in your browser settings at any time.
Google Analytics Opt-out
A browser add-on that blocks Google Analytics on every site, not just this one.
Retention & your rights
Each analytics provider keeps its data for its own standard period, and I only ever see totals and charts — never individual people. Emails from the forms stay in my inbox, and chats stay in the messaging app, until I delete them.
Depending on where you live (for example, GDPR in the EU, or PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 in Canada), you may have the right to see, correct, or delete personal data. The statistics on this site are not linked to your name or identity — but if you believe the site holds personal data about you, email me and I'll sort it out.
Changes to this policy
If the tools or data practices on this site change, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date will change with it.
