NocoDB
Spreadsheet interface and API over Postgres or MySQL.
Internal tools and client portals on top of an existing database.
Not open source: Sustainable Use License, not an OSI open-source licence.
Internal-tool builds are common paid work, but NocoDB left open source in January 2026 (Sustainable Use License). The client may run it for its own internal use; you may not host or resell it as a service.
Sustainable Use License v1.0 (fair-code, NOT open source) on the master and develop branches — LICENSE 'Updated on: January 29, 2026'. It is no longer AGPL.
Restricted: 'You may use or modify the software only for your own internal business purposes or for non-commercial or personal use' and may distribute it only 'free of charge for non-commercial purposes' — a client self-hosting it for its own internal use fits, but a freelancer hosting it for clients, reselling or bundling it into a paid product does not; whether a paid install on the client's own server is acceptable is a grey area to confirm with NocoDB.
Active (pushed 2026-10-07). Licence changed to Sustainable Use License (dated 2026-01-29); older releases were under a different licence — which version a client runs matters. Branches other than master/develop 'are not licensed'. No GPU.
